Report Wizard

With the Report Wizard, you can easily turn a Salesforce report into a Leaderboard or Data Table on your Channel.  Once you have mapped a User report to Hoopla, the Report Wizard section will be available and each flow will walk you through the important steps of adding new data to your Channel.

 

Create a Leaderboard

  1. Click the Create a Leaderboard tile.
  2. Choose a Metric report, and map the desired fields from the report to any Metric(s) you’ve defined in Hoopla.
    • If you have not defined any applicable Metrics in Hoopla, you may do so here by selecting Create a new Metric and giving it a Name.
  3. Schedule how often you want that report to sync with Hoopla, and then click Next.
  4. You will then be prompted to create a Leaderboard. Give your Leaderboard a name, choose which type of Leaderboard you want to build (User or Team) and then add any additional Metrics to that Leaderboard (you only need one Metric, but may select up to four).
    1. You may also edit the Metric label here; this is what we will display on the TV. 
  5. Choose Players & Watchers for the Leaderboard and then click Next.  
  6. Finally, you may select any Channels or Segments to add your new Leaderboard to (this is not required) and then click Create Leaderboard.

 

Create a Data Table

  1. Click Create an Data Table tile.
  2. Use the dropdown to select a Tabular or Summary report from Salesforce.
    Note: The sort order of the data is determined by the sort order of the saved report in Salesforce.
  3. Optionally, change the report's name in Hoopla.
  4. Select up to 4 columns from the report. The order in which you make your selections will determine the order on Hoopla TV, from left to right.
  5. Optionally, change each column's label in Hoopla.
  6. Schedule how often you want Hoopla to sync with the Salesforce report and then click Next. 
  7. Finally, you may select any Channels or Segments to add your new Data Table to (this is not required) and then click Create Data Table Step.

 

Create a Metric Step 

  1. Click Create an Metric Step tile.
  2. Use the dropdown to select a Tabular or Summary report from Salesforce.
    Note: The sort order of the data is determined by the sort order of the saved report in Salesforce.
  3. Select Report Column, from which you would like to map the "Grand Totals" Value.
  4. Next, select a Metric and a Team or Generic Identifier where the value will be stored (you also have the option to create a new Metric here) 
  5. Schedule how often you want Hoopla to sync with the Salesforce report.
  6. Next, select the Display Type (Number, Gauge or Progress Bar). If you select Gauge or Progress Bar, be sure to add your Breakpoints and Target Values as required.
  7. Under What to include in Hoopla TV display? check the boxes for the labels you would like to display on your channel and then click Next. 
  8. Finally, you may select any Channels or Segments to add your new Metric Step to (this is not required) and then click Create Metric Step.
