Can I invite someone who belongs to another account?

Manually Added Users

Users with Hoopla credentials (not Salesforce credentials) have the ability to switch accounts. As an admin, you can invite whomever you’d like to your Hoopla account, and it’s up to the user to accept the invitation. Keep in mind that each email address can only belong to one Hoopla account at a time.

Here are the various scenarios that are possible:

Invite someone who is the ONLY user in another account:

  1. Manually add your desired invitee as a user in your account.
  2. The invitee will receive an email, asking her to confirm whether she’d like to join your account or remain as a user in her account.
  3. If she accepts your invitation, her previous account will be deleted and she will be validated as a user in your Hoopla account.

Invite someone who is the ONLY ADMIN in another account, and that account contains other users:

  1. Add your desired invitee as a user in your account.
  2. The invitee will receive an email, asking her to confirm whether she’d like to join your account or remain as a user in her account.
  3. When the invitee accepts your invitation, she sees a warning, asking her to log in to the previous account and promote another user to “admin” OR delete the other users, then accept the new invite.
  4. Once the invitee successfully accepts the new invitation, she is validated as a user in your Hoopla account.

Invite someone who is a player in another account:

  1. Add your desired invitee as a user in your account.
  2. The invitee will receive an email, asking her to confirm whether she’d like to join your account or remain as a user in her current account.
  3. If she accepts your invitation, her previous user record will be deleted and she will be validated as a user in your Hoopla account.

Salesforce-Provisioned Users

Users who have been added through the Salesforce User Provisioning Report cannot be added to a new Hoopla account until they are deleted from the original account. Hoopla uses the Salesforce User ID as the unique identifier for users, meaning that each Salesforce-provisioned user can exist in only one Hoopla instance at a time.
